DRed - there you go. Like I said this is the second interview. So you guys didn’t get to the first one. Because the quality was bad, Dollicia stepped up for our fans which is her fans. To go a head and give another interview. So big ups to her for that.
Dollica Bryan - Yes I did and my King spread is all over the Internet.
DRed - Yeah! go coop that! Either coop it, see it, or vote for her to. just like you did here at HHH.com she deserves it she’s a great girl. Let’s get back to some of the basic question. I know you guys are hearing this for the first time but, like I said this is the second time so were gonna kinda go through some kinda quick. For as your back, where are you from , whats your nationality?
Dollica Bryan- I’m Italian, and black. and I’m from Portland Oregon. and now i reside in California.
DRed - Don’t forget to tell them that your the American Gangster
Dollica Bryan - Yeah not the American Gangster, it’s the ultimate gangster, cause I got that black, and Italian gangster in me. That’s why I’m so smooth ya’ll, so smooth.
DRed - when is your birth date?
Dollica Bryan - Jan.31 I’m a Aquarius. Like Oprah, and Alicia Keys, and Micheal Jordan.
DRed - Alicia Keys is one to. My daughter looks like her man
Dollica Bryan - really.
DRed - It’s really weird. And she’s smart, smart.
Dollica Bryan - That’s a Aquarius, for you.
DRed - Nah after you said I kinda thought it about it she’s very inquisitive to the point you know she’s beyond, and above the kids around her age.
Dollica Bryan - Exactly that’s who I am.
DRed - that’s what it seems like. it also seems like you have on of the best personalities out of…. I dealt with a few models more then a hand full, not more then a thousand though, but at the same time out of everyone that I meet you have seemed like the nicest one, and the most general one. Out of all of them. So…
Dollica Bryan - Thank you I appreciate that.
DRed - Your favorite color is?
Dollica Bryan - Green. The money
DRed - The green backs.
Dollica Bryan - The money
DRed - How did you get started in. I mean I already know, but for your fans how did you get started in the industry of being the super hip hop video model that you are?
Dollica Bryan - Well i started of in the radio. on 95.5 in Portland Oregon i was always a fan, and they had a hip[ hop show on Friday nights, so i did alot of interviews like Jay Z, Pharell. Alot of artist came up there, and I actually got in touch with Pharell before anybody know who he was. He actual was singing the hook he done. He was like you had to hear me I’m the guy who sings the hook. And I was like Okay. And he had me in contact with some people done here, and Diana Ortel how does videos, and stuff. And a long time ago I tried it out, and wasn’t for me. I was like a stereo type for a pretty girl being in a video, and I didn’t just like how I was treated. i like how I was treated at the radio station more. Respect and, they valued my opinions. and stuff like that. Others really don’t. matter a fact my first video was with Luara London she was other people that were just starting out. I don’t know, it was cool, but it wasn’t really for me at the time. So I kinda took a really long break, and started to research some more stuff. Get some other business ventures, and stuff. Just recently this past year a friend of mind. I got a really good job. And the guy was stressin out Mel Massinberg. The old president of Motown. And Scott Joes manager was all stressed out. Like man I got this video coming up and we need a model, and we need a really fly girl, but she’s gotta act. Cause Blair Underwood is in it. And he said it’s hard to find a pretty girls that can act, and he was like I got the perfect girl for you. Cause he tryin to get in good. it was the guy, like I got this album right.(laugh) he ask me to come out, and do him a favor, and I was like mannn….. So I went, and they loved me the director. I shot it, and every since then they been blowing up my phone. So it just kinda happen. It wasn’t a I gotta do this. I didn’t go to any casting.. People just keep calling me.
DRed - It was just a blessing. I know when we spoke before you had told me that you had worked with Kayne West can you name just a few of the others that you have worked with?
Dollica Bryan - i worked with 50 i really don’t say that, cause my time was so short in that video, cause of how thick I was back then. i was riding a horse, and he didn’t show that. Kanye of course, Neyo, Fab, Lupa, and tons of people.
DRed - Akon
Dollica Bryan - yeah, Akon. I worked with him, matter a fact were going to do something else in the future, because that particular video didn’t come out. It got pushed out on the web, but he didn’t like the story line. It didn’t match his song. so we are going to work together in the future. And Chris Brown. Bow Wow, and Omarion
DRed - Who do you wanna work with? you just named Akon that you wanna work with in the future. Who else would you like to work with?
Dollica Bryan - I would like to work with Jay Z. You know Kanye was somebody I really wanted to work with. Because for some reason everything he does people are automatically attracted to it. They’re drawn to it, a lot of people don’t even know why, but they just love them some Kanye, and I just felt interested to see what his personality was. Cause you never know who somebody personality is to you meet them. Cause the industry really slanders some bodies name. They do not wanna like you. the person you see make it to the top they fight through a lot, cause Ii go through that every single day. I just ignore it though. But he was like such a sweet heart. I was so nice. When I went on set to film the stuff for the glow in the dark tour. He was like the first person to give me a hug. And he was talking to me the hold time. Ask me if I needed anything, he kept checking up on me. I was like Dang. He was supposed to be mean. Like get back to work, with a whip on my back, and I was really late, and everything. But he showed me so much love, even when my family was here, he got my family tickets, and I didn’t even go to the concert out of state. He bought my family out of state tickets, back stage passes. then i was there he got tickets, and backstage passes. I got shown the most love on the screen, and people went crazy. Everybody went crazy. Even after that they love working with me so much the next day they ask me to do a absolute vodka commercial. So any time their in town they always call me and hit me up. So big ups! Check out the Glow in the Dark tour.
DRed - Yeah! Check it out! Also you said you wanted to act. And you done some acting. Can you name some of the moves you been in.
Dollica Bryan - i just recently found out that the movie I did Eleven Hundred is getting pushed up to do boy! they just told me that like a this week. I had to do a interview for that, cause I got another movie coming really soon. it had remember Paid In Full what was his name?
DRed - Oh! the guy from the wire?
Dollica Bryan - Yeah!
DRed - I forgot his name but all his fans trust me are going to know him.
Dollica Bryan - i always know his name, but i don’t know my mind is just blank right now. I do my scenes and stuff with him. So that movie should be coming out soon. And i did a real spoose movie, it’s like really corny. It’s not really so much acting skills. It just something corny that I did. I kinda act like a dizzy black girl. Almost like Hilary.
Like the girl from the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. It wasn’t the best, I was like you guys don’t make me act like this, and they were like just do it (laughing). Like if you could name the acting i don’t wanna do. I’m like I don’t wanna be a bimbo.
DRed - That’s like giving a certain label.
Dollica Bryan - Stereo typed to me. You know they pushed up my boobs really high, and i was like oh my lord. But it was kinda cool the other movie I did. There was alot of actors in it. And it was cool because, I thought they where going to make the movie kinda in the ghetto cause it was about weed. Like you’ll see in the movie I was explaining weed, but not like the average weed head would. i was like explaining about organic weed.
So it was really cool, like we try to make it about the other side of the whole….
DRed - oh okay! With the two hundred dollar bongs! I get you.
Dollicia Bryan - Yeah! Exactly!
DRed - I’m on that side of the fence. I understand, I understand.
Dollicia Bryan - I thought it was pretty cool,I’m reading a lot of scripts right now, and trying to get it in.
DRed - I know you said you wanted to do more serious acting.
Dollicia Bryan - Yeah! Exactly. I don’t believe there’s enough Afro American actors out there. There so stereo typed in pacific roles. We need to more of the good stuff, that takes real acting, like a romantic comedy.
DRed - That’s the kinda role I see you in though.
Dollicia Bryan - I can really turn it on and off, you know.
DRed - I mean the comedian in a romantic comedian type movie.
Dollicia Bryan - Well a romantic comedy.
DRed - Yeah I mean to me I’m more fixed on the comedy, but others or more fixed on the romantic part. But that’s what makes us both watch it.
Dollicia Bryan - (Laughing) Exactly!
DRed - but it’s true.
Dollicia Bryan - yeah! those movies are cool.
DRed - Who inspires you.
Dollicia Bryan - In acting or in general?
DRed - Just in general.
Dollicia Bryan - Oh a lot of people, probably like Oprah, first black billionaire you know. So many people inspire me, so many.
But God first baby! My son inspires me everyday.I just sort a work hard, and I don’t take live to seriously. I’m very open minded. Even though somebody says something and try and talk to you, you still listen, cause they might say something you don’t know. you don’t know everything.
DRed - Yeah, my father told me you never to smart, you can even learn from a five year old, and that’s big.
Dollicia Bryan - yeah! Very big so, inspired by a lot of people, like I even read old history book about Napoleon. To see how small he was. And he lead people to war three times. They were like ready to die. I just think words are very powerful. They have some much power, actions you know anybody can do anything they want to. But to speak intelligent ly or move somebody else with your words. it is incredible. i also don’t take vocabulary likely at all. I take it very seriously. That’s exactly how I get my jobs. I have to meet people everyday how have to believe in what I’m saying. And that’s how I advance over other people. I understand that conversation that we just had, that relationship can really grow to a hire level. I change, and get what I want exactly out of the conversation.b If I really evaluate it. i love physicology, There is so much right now, I just think people should take heed to listen to what people are saying, and understanding. See that, that conversation can get you for so understanding what you are saying.
DRed - You also said that you were religous before, so I’m not gonna touch on that.
Dollicia Bryan - I’m a good Christian, yes I am.
DRed - yeah, I could tell. i was at church Sunday, and I was there last Sunday……..
Dollicia Bryan - Oh, that is so good. going ever Sunday is good.
DRed - I’m trying to get to the point of going every Sunday. but they got that really early Sunday school. Sista it’s hard to go early in the morning. You know?
Dollicia Bryan - I know, I know. it’s something you gotta do though.
DRed - Yeah! if church was at 2:30 I’d be on it.
Dollicia Bryan - yeah everybody would be there. Through a little extra food, I’ll be there to.
DRed - When i grew up honestly, every Sunday was a big festival day at the church, so there would be plenty of food. It’s not like that now.
Dollicia Bryan - Oh see! i used to wait for the day they would have the grape juice, and crackers.
DRed - yeah when I was there the other Sunday, and they were passing around the wine and the crackers. I was laughing, cause i kept thinking of First Sunday with Tracey Morgan. he said oh hey! they got a open bar. (both laughing)
Oh man that was so funny, he said I never been to church before. i think h was asking for the cheese wize for the crackers. It was redicouls.
Dollicia Bryan - Really! i was going to see that movie, and my friend was like don’t do it.
DRed - It was actually pretty funny though,
Dollicia Bryan - See! I’m not gonna listen to her.
DRed - I’m a big movie buff. If I have a chance I’ll watch a movie while I’m working. i set up a little TV, just so I could go ahead and have it on the side. Like most people play music, but I’ll watch a movie.
Like i love Pursiut To Happyness, and movies like that.
Dollicia Bryan - oh that was a great movie
DRed - It was, then when I found out it was a true story, and not to get off topic to much, but when I found out there was so many parts in the book that’s not in the movie, kinda made me turn to the book. And I’m not the one to be picking up books, and
the way the sort a petrayed in the movie she just got up and left, but it was a lot more nasty in the book. I’m not gonna give it up for those guys who didn’t read the book. But let you know you guys out there if you like that movie you need to coop that book.
Dollicia Bryan - i heard about that book.
DRed - What is your favorite song?
Dollicia Bryan - lately I’ve been liking a lot of Shadae. Going old school on them. I don’t know if you mean recently or……..
DRed - Nah! I mean Period! Cause that’s what the questions what is your favorite song? So if that’s what your feeling right now.
i actually though can go back, and forth.
Dollicia Bryan - Like ‘m a big Ne-Yo Soul fan. A big R&B fan.
DRed - I really am, I’m a big hip hop fan. i can’t get it wrong. but a lot of the R&B music like we had talked about last time, has combined with rap. And that is the form of hip hop.
Dollicia Bryan - Like if you look at Lil Wayne Lolli Pop. Now if that’s not singing and rap all in one.
DRed - yeah man! Just like Bust it baby. All these songs that are coming out now. you got some people that are go hard die hard fans, for as like Busta Rythmes. I don’t know if you heard the remix to Don’t touch me.
But he had Big Daddy Kane on there.
Dollicia Bryan - Really?
DRed - Yeah! it’s on the site. He had a whole bunch of stuff to surprise you. Like he had Nas, Big daddy Kane, Lil Wayne, and a few others. I think he was trying to get that same feel that he had got from he’s last. The Big Bang
when he had everybody on there, and they all came out on stage. And he had Em on the song to, but I don’t think it’s gonna actually have that same effect, bu the song it alright, and it was good to hear like Big Daddy Kane rap again, cause I was like
I hadn’t heard him in a while. Also though who is your favorite hip hop artist, and why?
Dollicia Bryan - Kayne, cause he’s so creative, and he’s goals are more realistic. I love all the hip hop artist, but they aways talking about dope, and you know those brothers is not slinging no dope.
Maybe back in the day, but come on now. this has been going on for like five years. And I’m like come on man you is not doing that no more. Like that is so Mid 90’s when the last of the dope boys were in the game.
DRed - I guess you mean expand your mind, and don’t be afraid to be you. Well thank Dollicia! you know we love you at HHH.com and thank you for being the sweetest, and best friend a person can’t wait till he works with again.
God Bless all, this is DRed from HHH.com saying peace to all
